Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular External Cleaning
Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water. Dust the condenser (black grille) and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner once or twice a year to prevent dust accumulation, which can affect performance and increase electricity consumption.
Automatic Defrosting
The refrigerator automatically defrosts every time the compressor stops, ensuring efficient operation.
Proper Installation
Do not install the appliance close to heat sources such as a boiler or radiator. Place it in a cool, well-ventilated room and ensure the air openings are not obstructed. After transportation, let the appliance sit for 2 hours before switching it on to allow the refrigerant to settle.
Energy Saving Tips
Avoid unnecessary frosting by packing all foodstuffs into airtight packages. Place food to be frozen in the fridge compartment before transferring it to the freezer. Keep the door closed as much as possible to prevent warm air from entering and causing the compressor to switch on unnecessarily.
Internal Cleaning
Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid using detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed products, or those containing bleach or alcohol.
